I am a board certified Psychiatrist and San Diego Superior Court Expert Witness. I always have and continue to admire and respect judicial integrity and where their heart decided to be in the first place. They could have made tons of money being attorneys, but they volunteered to "Hold the Scale" with less money,.. instead. Judge Judy and Brown are both Progressive TV stars. They decided to be open and be viewed by the public with nothing to hide. Initially these 2 judges were met with close minded unconditional criticism from their colleagues. However, now the Public respects these two judges, regardless. The public respects judges who decide to be open and respectful as to how the public feels. Thank you for what you do Judge Salcido. As long you are doing the RIGHT THING, that is what matters,...really. In biblical Terms we should do the RIGHT THING and the rest is flat out meaningless and not worth considering or cry for. Thanks for encouraging other judges to admit mistakes and examine their assumptions. Rhode Island has huge problems with cronyism, but we are not in the Dark Ages of electing judges. (However we still give judges life tenure with no review.) Our Family Court still accuses domestic violence victims of "parental alienation," and judges let those child custody cases drag on for years without evidentiary hearings. More at
