Judicial Action Watch Society (J.A.W.S.) is a non- profit organization [pending IRS approval of its status as a 501(c)(3) corporation] aimed at educating the public on how the court system is designed to work. Founded by DeAnn M. Salcido, a retired California Superior Court Judge, this organization also acts as a clearinghouse of resources and information for those citizens who are committed to court reform advocacy. We do not give legal advice. Due to Judge Salcido's eight years as a judge (both Family Court and Criminal Court) J.A.W.S. is uniquely situated to educate the public on the chronic and systemic failures of the judicial system, especially as it concerns failure to protect crime victims.
